Pharmacy services provide pharmaceutical services to patients who come to visit our clinics or admitted to the wards. Our pharmacy team comprises qualified and highly dedicated pharmacists and pharmacy assistants as well as in-house trained dispensers.

Services Offered
For your convenience, pharmacies are located at Ground Floor, next to the cafeteria, providing services for prescriptions, prescription refills, and a wide variety over the counter medications. Our consultants can send your prescriptions directly to our pharmacists saving time and the need to make another trip. Same-day prescription refills are also available.

  *  Screening of outpatients prescription
  *  To dispense medications to all outpatients
  *  To provide long term medicines to patients with a shorter waiting time 
  *  To dispense medications to Accident & Emergency patients
  *  To provide pharmaceutical care via patient counseling
  *  Reviewing medications for safety and efficacy  
  *  Over the counter sale

Inpatient Pharmacy Services
  *  Inpatient medication supply via medication trolley
  *  To dispense medications to inpatients, staff and discharge patients via prescription
  *  To provide pharmaceutical care via patient counseling
  *  Reviewing medications for safety and efficacy

Pharmacy Store
  *  Keep a comprehensive list of patent and good generic drugs

Drug Information Services
  *  Upon request from doctors, nurses, etc regarding the availability of certain drugs, indication and dosage.
  *  Identify of unknown drugs which brought together with patient upon admission to the hospital

YELLOW FEVER VACCINATION CENTRE
Yellow fever is an acute infectious disease. The fever is spread from mosquitoes to monkeys and also to humans (zoonosis). Malaysia is vulnerable and receptive to yellow fever transmission. Apart from that, KPJ Selangor Specialist Hospital is one of the approved Yellow Fever Vaccinating Centres in Malaysia as Malaysian who wants to go to the countries with risk of yellow fever transmission need to get the vaccination at the centre.

DRUG DELIVERY SERVICE (DDS)
Introduction
Drug Delivery Service is the follow-up supply mailed directly to the location of customer's choice. 
It is one of the value-added services offered by the hospital to keep customers away from the hustle and bustle of the traffic. Drug will be mailed safely to customers at affordable delivery charge. 
It is a collaboration work between our Pharmacy Services and Nationwide Express Courier Services Berhad.

Objective
  *  Reduce waiting time and overcrowding at the pharmacy
  *  Increase patient compliance towards medicine

Scope
  *  This service only applicable to customers in Peninsular Malaysia

Advantages of DDS
  *  Reduce time and energy as the medicine will sent directly to the patient's doorstep
  *  Reduce petrol and parking cost
  *  Ensure continuity of medication

Terms & Conditions
  *  Customers
      -  Understand the usage and administration of medicine
      -  First medication supply must be taken at pharmacy counter

  *  Prescription
      -  Prescription with GL's coverage and more than 1 month

  *  Medication
      -  Either in tablet or capsule form
      -  Do not require special storage
      -  Not psychotropic drugs

Delivery Charges
  *  RM 7.00 per delivery
